Diabetes is prevalent worldwide, but in India we have the largest number and highest rate of affected and pre-diabetic people.

The causes are multiple and not clearly known: over-consumption of sugar, rice, fried food or alcohol, obesity, stress, hereditary factors…

To fight against the development of this disease, prevention remains the best way.

It is therefore important to:

- Remove the sugar in beverages (tea, coffee, juice, etc.), and desserts too sweet.

- Avoid replacing sugar by artificial sweeteners which may cause other serious diseases,

- Avoid excessive consumption of rice and fried food,

- Reduce consumption of alcohol,

- Eliminate unnecessary pounds,

- Lead a quiet life, reducing stress,

- Practicing non-violent sports such as walking.
