The monthly Magazine “EDUCATION TODAY” had recently conducted an independent survey throughout Pondicherry in order to choose the NGO who gives the best Educational Service. Only the organizations which are rendering service particularly in the field of education were taken into account and the survey was done without the knowledge of any concerned one.

It was indeed a big surprise for all of us when Volontariat was declared the first rank NGO in the field of education, a public recognition for so many years of steady work.

Volontariat had won the award without applying for it: a committee had visited many NGOs and after this process, a Jury had chosen Volontariat for the award.

We all are proud of this award, it is something important which will boost the morale of everyone who is in the service of Volontariat. It is true we Volontariat is striving hard to continue to give a better education, not only to the children, but also to the poor people. And we deserve it.

The award ceremony took place on November 22, 2008 at Puducherry and on behalf of the Volontariat, Mr. Amul had received the award. In the picture, Mr. Shahjahan, Minister for Education, Puducherry, presents the award. Others in the picture are: Mrs. Vanjula Valli - Joint Director of Education Dept. and few other dignitaries from Chennai.
