Résults of 10th Std or S.S.L.C. (Secondary School Leaving Certificate) examination.
Among the 78 boys and girls, sponsored by the Volontariat, who tried to cross the barrier of SSLC, 69 succeeded, a percentage close to 90%. For comparison, the average for Tamilnadu is 85%, which is good result for the team of Parrainage and our evening school teachers.
In the first 5 in the ranking, there are 4 girls who got, out of 500 marks maximum: B850 (F), 478; F1638 (M), 464; F603 (F), 436; F3176 ( F), 431 and F1419 (F), 429. The last 2 are F1315 (M), 210 and B2588 (M), 206. As you can remark, juries let through very low, but, for that, no subject should have a rating lower than 35/100, which is disqualifying; for instance, FLV022 (F) got 238 marks, but failed because at least one of the notes (subject) is below the disqualifying level.
All students whogot failed have a second chance and will write the examination for the concerned subjects, in a short time. For some of them, we will soon have their results.
H.S.C. (Higher Secondary Certificate) at the end of 12th Std
There were 54 students, supported by the Parrainage program, to appear for this examination. 44 of them (81%) got through, 10 failed and will take again all or part of the subjects .... or go for a job!
Here we must recognize that the average is slightly lower than that of Tamilnadu, which stood at 86%. A good environment accounts for much to seriously study and it’s sure that our students do not find that often in their family or their neighborhood; that is why a project (dream) of Volontariat is to have a proper place where students could work peacefully and prepare themselves more efficiently for their exams.
Among the top 5, again, there are four girls. On a maximum of 1200 marks, the rank order is: B1742 (F), 972; F1341 (F), 959; F1423 (F), 934; F1639 (F), 923 and B3938 (M), 906. The last two of the list are: F3156 (F), 531 and B1736 (M), 524 marks, far from the average 600 / 1200. Let me note that the10 students who failed are in the range 569-650 / 1200, so with overall scores higher than the last who passed and sometimes even above average, but having one or more subjects with disqualifying mark.
These subjects are written again in one to six months and for some, results are already expected.
For those who passed, now is the time for their registration in the professional field they have chosen or in what is accessible to them according to the seats availability and their ranking. They have been given advices for months if not years, by the team of social workers of Volontariat Parrainage section.
Good luck to all of them who are preparing their future!
